Ali Ekber Diribaş (October 17, 1967, Ankara, Turkey) is a Turkish voice actor and dubbing director who dubbed Gonzo beginning with the Turkish dub of The Muppets (Film), continuing with the dubs of Muppets Most Wanted and Muppets Haunted Mansion.
Diribaş has often been heard dubbing action movies and big budget franchises, as the Turkish voice of Harrison Ford in Star Wars and sequels, Josh Duhamel in the Transformers movies, Hugo Weaving in The Matrix franchise, the Sorting Hat and others in the Harry Potter series, Sam Worthington in Clash of the Titans and its sequel, Craig Parker in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Richard Armitage in The Hobbit movies, Jack Davenport in the first three Pirates of the Caribbean entries, Christopher Meloni in Man of Steel, and secondary roles in the Indiana Jones series.
In the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy, Diribaş dubbed Gary Oldman in Batman Begins, Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight, and Matthew Modine in The Dark Knight Rises. Spider-Man work includes Bill Nunn in the Tobey Maguire movies and Martin Starr in the Tom Holland ones, as well as various actors in Marvel movies including John Slattery as Howard Stark, Benicio del Toro as the Collector, Sterling K. Brown in Black Panther, and Guy Pearce in Iron Man 3. He dubbed Mads Mikkelsen several times (including Casino Royale and Doctor Strange), as well as Will Smith in I Am Legend and Suicide Squad, Steve Carell in Welcome to Marwen, Brendan Fraser in Bedazzled, James D'Arcy in Dunkirk, Chris Rock in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Iago in the live-action Aladdin. TV dubs include Benedict Cumberbatch on Sherlock, Damian Lewis on Homeland, and Dominic Cooper on Agent Carter. In cartoons, he dubbed the title role in Disney's Robin Hood, Emperor Zurg in Toy Story 2, and Woody in later Toy Story projects.
