Jaime Vega (February 21, 1940, Mexico city, DF, Mexico) is a Mexican actor who puppeteered Bodoque on Plaza Sesamo in the 1980s, and dubbed Ernie, the Big Bad Wolf, and others on the show. In a Mexican anti-smoking cartoon made for the series, he voiced a cigar-chomping owl.
Vega also dubbed Scooter in the early Muppet movies and has been heard in various other Henson/Creature Shop dubs: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (as Professor Jordan Perry), The English Patient (as Sergeant Hardy), George of the Jungle (as a mercenary), and Good Boy! (as the Greater Dane's Assistant).
Vega has acted sporadically in telenovelas since the 1970s, including Los Hermanos Coraje and Golpe Bajo. Earlier, in the 1960s, he was heard in the Kalimán radio serial, based on a Mexican comic book, as Charles Gunther. As a dubbing actor, he is one of the main Mexican voices of Danny DeVito (in What's the Worst That Could Happen and Death to Smoochy, among others) and has been heard as Ed Asner in The Bachelor, Peter Falk in Corky Romano, Joe Pesci in 'Casino, George Harris in The Interpreter, and James Gandolfini in The Mexican. Cartoon dubbing roles include Sinestro on Super Friends, Clyde on Pac-Man, Lou in Over the Hedge, Kamaji in Spirited Away, and PC Mackintosh in Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
