
Mauro Ramos (February 13, 1961, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a voice actor, director dubbing, actor, singer, storyteller, writer and speaker from Brazil, known for voicing Shrek in the Shrek Movies, Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, and Pumbaa in The Lion King.
He has also dubbed Grover on the revived version of Vila Sésamo, the Brazilian co-production of Sesame Street. He has at various times dubbed assorted, usually gruff characters in Muppet movies, including Sweetums, Statler, and Bobo. He also dubbed Mr. Tinkles in Cats & Dogs.
Ramos entered dubbing in the late 1980s. He dubbed Gary Oldman in the Dark Knight trilogy, Lost in Space, and other films, as well as Geoffrey Rush in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise,Martin Sheen on The West Wing and some movies, Forest Whitaker in Panic Room and others, Bob Hoskins in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Wayne Knight in Jurassic Park, Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles, Paul Schrier on Power Rangers Samurai, and Rubén Aguirre on El Chavo del Ocho.
In animation, Ramos took over as Shrek from Shrek the 3rd onward and Al in Toy Story 2, Silver in Treasure Planet, Hugo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aku on Samurai Jack, Green Arrow on Young Justice, and Magneto on X-Men.
