Verónica Cabañas(May 11, 1991, Paraguay) is a paraguayan model, dubbing actress and producer.
At the age of 17 he came across a workshop given by Tana Schémbori and Juan Carlos Maneglia where he gave his first approaches to acting.
When he finished school, he started his career at TIA (Integral Acting Workshop) aspiring to the audiovisual world, his love for cinematography persisted. After three years of career (2009 to 2012), he made his first cinematographic work with Mara Portillo (audiovisualist and designer), Verónica and Luis Gutiérrez were the protagonists of the short film “El Margen” (2013). It was the first time that the actress was introduced to the boom of short films and that same year she began endless works with students from Columbia University.
In 2014 she made her debut on the stage as the girlfriend in the popular play “El Luisón de pago largo” by Director Arcena. The professional discovered a new passion as well as the challenges and differences between cameras and scenarios, from small cinematographic expressions she went on to learn to express every last grimace and a comprehensive training.
Verónica apart from being an actress, model and a long list of professions, she learned to be a producer, she made her debut as an assistant director in the play “La Jaula de las Locas” in 2016.
In 2017 Verónica returned to her first love and began to work in an audiovisual production company, outside of her recent environment she developed without any inconvenience, she produced shorts such as “Crisis” with Ana Ivanova and Joaquín Díaz Sacco. Between time intervals he also modeled, returned to acting and continued with production.
In Paraguay there is still an artistic transition, the theater tables and the audiovisual platform are better known today, however, it continues to be part of a growing cultural process. Recently the film “Las herederas” by Marcelo Martinessi impacted nationally and internationally for being among the possible nominations for Best Foreign Film in the Oscars 2018.
The dubbing was started by an invitation from Zuny Acosta to follow the course in Fuera de Axis - Dubbing. Later, he participated in the first national production made into spanish in Paraguay, which is Charming.
